I. Donor Advised Funds
A donor advised fund gives donors the opportunity to actively participate in the philanthropic process by reviewing grant requests and recommending charitable organizations/programs to receive grants. Donors enjoy the benefits of recommending grants that fulfill their charitable wishes, without the expense and obligation of administration. The Foundation’s Board of Directors is legally responsible for approving all grants.
George and Emily Fath Fund for Human Needs
The George and Emily Fath Fund For Human Needs provides financial assistance for the neediest families in Montgomery County with special consideration given to people who have sudden unexpected needs due to sickness, injury, disability, death in the family or natural disasters. The spirit of Matthew 25:31-46 will serve as a guide.
Margaret & Foster Madeley Family Fund
The Margaret and Foster Madeley Family Fund was set up to help create and foster secure environments and programs in which people are able to experience their potential to thrive.
Dan H. & Martha Foster Madeley Heritage Fund
The Dan H. & Martha Foster Madeley Heritage Fund was set up to provide grants to Montgomery County nonprofit agencies for researching, collecting, preserving and sharing the histories of the people of Montgomery County, Texas.
Metcalf Family Endowment Fund
The Metcalf Family Endowment Fund provides grants to benefit the people of Montgomery County.
David and Jill Sharp Vaughan Family Fund
The David and Jill Sharp Vaughan Family Fund was set up to meet the benevolent needs of our county and its citizens including, but not limited to, animal welfare.
Annie & Irvin Hoffman Memorial Fund
The Annie & Irvin Hoffman Memorial Fund provides grants to nonprofit organizations based in Montgomery County with a special interest in programs for the elderly and children.
II. Field of Interest Funds
Through field of interest funds, donors support a particular interest area such as the arts, children and youth, health and wellness, neediest families or senior citizens. Use of the fund is restricted to the donor’s designated causes, but flexibility remains to meet changing community needs.
The Woodlands Medical Center Foundation Fund
The Woodlands Medical Center Foundation Fund was established for the purpose of providing health care and wellness assistance and education, including shelter and medical or psychological screening, treatment, or counseling in the South Montgomery County/The Woodlands area, through funding of capital improvements for buildings, improvements, furnishings or equipment and/or related program expenses, but exclusive of administrative, staffing or overhead expenses.
Susie and Jack Brouse Family Fund
The Susie and Jack Brouse Family Fund was established to provide financial assistance for the neediest families in Montgomery County, Texas, in the spirit of Matthew 25:31-46.
Elise Mae & Edward Everett Taylor Fund
The Elise Mae & Edward Everett Taylor Fund was created through the Taylor’s will to provide financial assistance to the neediest individuals in Montgomery County, with a special interest in programs that provide services to meet the needs of elderly citizens in the community.
Vernon Randolph Yeakely Endowment Fund
The Vernon Randolph Yeakely Endowment Fund was established through Mr. Yeakley’s will to provide funding for homeless, hungry and needy people in Montgomery County.
Jeffrey Kass, MD Dog Rescue & Animal Welfare Fund
The Jeffrey Kass, MD Dog Rescue & Animal Welfare Fund was created primarily to support dog rescue, including fostering, veterinarian care, transportation, and the adoption process. The Fund also provides assistance to organizations that deal with injured, abandoned or abused animals. Grants will be available from this fund after it reaches endowed status.
Jeffrey Kass, MD Elderly Assistance Fund
The Jeffrey Kass, MD Elderly Assistance Fund was created to provide support for the indigent elderly in need. All seniors are entitled to proper nutrition, medical care, medications, transportation assistance and companionship. Organizations that are assisting the indigent elderly in any or all of these areas are eligible for grants under this fund. Grants will be available from this fund after it reaches endowed status.
III. Agency & Designated Agency Funds
Individuals and organizations who wish to create a fund for the benefit of a specific nonprofit organization or program can create a designated agency fund. At the time the initial gift is made, the donor designates the charity or charities that will receive the fund’s distributions. Distributions are paid to the designated organization or program as long as it is in existence. In the event the designated organization ceases to exist, becomes obsolete or is unable to perform its charitable purposes, monies from the fund can be redirected to an organization which, in the opinion of the Board of Directors of the Foundation, best perpetuates the donor’s original intent.
Don & Barbara Gebert Interfaith Endowment Fund
The Don and Barbara Gebert Interfaith Endowment Fund was established to honor the Geberts, the founders of Interfaith of The Woodlands, and the proceeds are used to fund causes related to the Interfaith organization and its outreach.
Crighton Theatre Fund
The Crighton Theatre Fund was endowed by the board of The Montgomery County Foundation for the Performing Arts, also known as the Crighton Theatre Board, for the purpose of preservation, maintenance, upkeep and expansion of the real property and improvements known as the Crighton Theatre in downtown Conroe.
Montgomery County Performing Arts Society Performance Fund
The Montgomery County Performing Arts Society Performance Fund is an endowment created for the purpose of paying the costs, fees and expenses to bring performing artists who are part of the Society's scheduled season to Montgomery County.
Montgomery ISD Fine Arts Endowment Fund
The Montgomery ISD Arts Endowment Fund provides funding for fine arts programming in MISD schools.
Memory Park Maintenance Fund
The Memory Park Maintenance Fund was established to provide for the perpetual care, maintenance and improvement of the Memory Park located north of, and adjacent to, the Charles B. Stewart West Branch Library in Montgomery, Texas.
Henry & Billie Brooks Endowment - Food Bank
The Henry & Billie Brooks Endowment - Food Bank was established to provide funding for food distribution to nonprofit agencies in Montgomery County through the Montgomery County Food Bank.
Metcalf Family Endowment Benefitting First Baptist Church Conroe
The Metcalf Family Endowment Benefitting First Baptist Church Conroe benefits the First Baptist Church of Conroe's benevolent fund which is used to meet the needs of individuals in Conroe.

The Metcalf Family Endowment Benefitting Assistance League of Montgomery County provides funding to the Assistance League of Montgomery County for the sole purpose of identifying and responding to the needs of Montgomery County’s citizens in an effort to improve their quality of life.
Metcalf Family Endowment Benefitting Conroe Live
The Metcalf Family Endowment Benefitting Conroe Live was established to help the organization revitalize downtown Conroe by attracting the arts, entertainment and education to the downtown area.

The Metcalf Family Endowment Benefitting Oscar Johnson, Jr. Community Center Board of Volunteer, Inc. was created to provide funding to the volunteer board for use in programs and initiatives supported by the community center.
Morris Bateman Conroe Noon Lions Club Fund
The Morris Bateman Conroe Noon Lions Club Fund provides financial assistance to the Conroe Noon Lions Club Charities Fund to support the eye conservation program.
MCCF Administrative Endowment Fund
The MCCF Administrative Endowment Fund has been established to help provide a permanent source of funding for Foundation expenses so grant distributions from the annual income of our other endowed funds can be maximized.
Michala Wunderlich Memorial Endowment Benefitting Coulson Tough School
The Michala Wunderlich Memorial Endowment was created in memory of first year teacher Michala Wunderlich to provide a lasting benefit to the Coulson Tough School, its teachers, classrooms and students.
Montgomery County Women's Center Endowment Fund
The Montgomery County Women's Center Endowment Fund was established by multiple families in the community to provide annual grants to further the organization's mission of preventing, protecting against and prevailing over domestic violence and sexual assault.
Vernon Randolph Yeakley Fund for Montgomery County Women’s Center

IV. Unrestricted Funds
Donors establishing or adding to unrestricted funds recognize that our community’s needs and opportunities change over time. These funds provide flexible resources needed to support innovative responses to address the community’s most pressing needs. The Foundation’s Distribution Committee and Board of Directors oversee the use of these funds, directing them to projects that most significantly contribute to the welfare of residents of Montgomery County.
Frankie Alexander Benevolent Fund
The Frankie Alexander Benevolent Fund was established by the Montgomery County Community Foundation Board of Directors as a general Unrestricted Fund to accept contributions in memory or honor of individuals.

V. Scholarship Funds
Scholarship funds are set up to assist young adults from Montgomery County in reaching their personal goals and dreams through higher education or technical training.
Cort Martin Memorial Scholarship at Lone Star College—Montgomery
The Cort Martin Memorial Scholarship was established in 2000 in memory of Cort Martin, who tragically lost his life in an automobile/train accident at age 17. Through this scholarship fund, Cort's parents, Tim and Deanna Martin created a permanent legacy to honor their son Cort. In 2005, The Cort Martin Memorial Scholarship was combined with another MCCF fund, The Montgomery College Scholarship Fund. The newly combined scholarship fund was renamed The Cort Martin Memorial Scholarship at Lone Star College-Montgomery. Through an agreement with the Martins and representatives of The Montgomery Collage Scholarship Fund, this new fund was established as a need-based fund to provide financial assistance to Conroe ISD graduates attending Lone Star College-Montgomery as full time students.
Shane Dickerson Carter Memorial Scholarship Fund
The Shane Dickerson Carter Memorial Scholarship Fund was created in 2005 to benefit Montgomery County high school seniors who have demonstrated the Rotary International mission of “Service Above Self”. This endowed scholarship was created by Rotarian Don Carter, in memory of his beloved wife Shane Dickerson Carter, who passed away in 2005, after a courageous battle with cancer. Mr. Carter wished to honor the memory of Shane by inspiring young adults in Montgomery County to imagine a better world and to make a difference in that world. This scholarship provides funding for graduating seniors who have demonstrated their commitment to overcoming poverty, hunger, disease, illiteracy, homelessness or other barriers to life, through their community and/or international volunteer efforts. Applicants must be able to demonstrate their commitment to the “achievement of world understanding and peace through local, national and international humanitarian, educational and cultural programs.”
Henry & Billie Brooks Scholarship Fund
The Henry & Billie Brooks Scholarship Fund was established in 2007 out of their strong belief in and commitment to higher education. This fund provides need-based scholarships to residents of Montgomery County, who are US citizens, to attend Lone Star College-Montgomery.
This scholarship potentially makes awards for 4 consecutive semesters, provided the student maintains hour and GPA requirements.
Mary Jane Hamilton Memorial Scholarship Fund
The Mary Jane Hamilton Memorial Scholarship Fund was created to benefit need-based students from Montgomery County planning to attend Lone Star College-Montgomery. This endowed scholarship was created in memory of May Jane Harrison Hamilton who passed away on April 2, 2003 after a courageous battle with cancer. Education was an important part of Mary’s life. Mary graduated in 1978 from Sharpstown High School in Houston and received a BS degree in Education from The University of St. Thomas in 1982. She was an HISD elementary school teacher for 17 years and was named Executive Director for the PSH Foundation for the last two years of her life. This scholarship fund was created to honor her life by her loving stepmother Patti Harrison, President of the PSH Foundation. It is Ms. Harrison’s desire to memorialize Mary by assisting other students wishing to secure a college education in Montgomery County.
Buddy Moorhead Memorial Scholarship Fund
The Buddy Moorhead Memorial Scholarship Fund was created in 1984 to honor the memory of Conroe High School Coach Buddy Moorhead, who coached the Tigers to a 29-4-1 record from 1980-1982. The once dormant scholarship has been relocated with Montgomery County Community Foundation and Conroe Tigers, both current and past, have worked hard to build the endowment so that scholarships can be awarded on a perpetual basis. Senior students selected for this award must have participated in football at Conroe High School, have a reasonable chance of success in college, be of good character and must exemplify the "spirit" of the Conroe Tigers.
Alfred (Jimmie) & Joyce Soupart Scholarship
The Alfred (Jimmie) & Joyce Soupart Scholarship is a need-based scholarship for students of Conroe High School. The Souparts believe that education is the quickest pathway to success and have created a legacy of commitment to education and the Conroe community by facilitating opportunities of higher learning that might not otherwise be available.
Ruben W. Hope, Jr. Memorial Scholarship
The Ruben W. Hope, Jr. Memorial Scholarship Fund was created by the Hope family and friends to honor Ruben’s passion for education and commitment to the people of Montgomery County. Scholarship applications will be available from this fund in the spring of 2019.
Hivnor Family Scholarship Fund
The Hivnor Family Scholarship Fund was created in 2016 to benefit students from Willis High School who are participating in varsity athletics, including but not limited to cheerleading and drill team. Once there are enough monies to distribute multiple scholarships, the Hivnor Family intends to extend the scholarship to Conroe High School students. This fund was created by the Hivnor family out of their commitment to students in this community and their strong belief in the importance of higher education. Scholarship applications will be available from this fund in the spring of 2018.
